Wisconsin’s continental climate means its summers
are warm and winters extremely cold. Milwaukee has an average daily
temperature ranging from 12 degrees F to 26 degrees in January. Milwaukee's
annual snowfall averages 47 inches. In July temperatures can range between
62 and 80 degrees F.
Precipitation in the state ranges from about 34 inches annually for
the northwestern part of Wisconsin to about 28 inches in south-central
Wisconsin. The areas bordering Lake Superior and Lake Michigan see similar
amounts.
