Canoeing the Flambeau
An age-old classic, established in the thirties, Wisconsin’s Flambeau River and State Forest have long inflected the beauty and wonder of wildlife in the Northern United States. The river itself has a nice fusion of calm waters and rapids for the amateur and the established river rider alike. Canoe rentals are available at four different spots on the river and camping is abundant, regardless of your put-in and take-out. The rivers and lakes of Flambeau are also abundant for fishing, with healthy amounts of trout, sturgeon, musky and bass.
