Skiing Brule River
Cross-country lovers on the northern border know that Wisconsin Skiing is some of the best. Ahnapee State Trail was once a railroad, but has been turned from rails to trails. American Birkebeiner sees over 8,000 cross-country fanatics every year. For multi-use trails that cater to many tastes, it’s hard to beat the Richard Bong State Recreation Area.
