Saint Croix gives you the option of sliding past historic
settlements or north towards wildlife rich waters. If you’re willing
to share the river, otters, porcupines, beavers and the like will be
in plain view. Take your time traveling this stretch of beautifully
intact Wisconsin rivers. Those who used to inhabit nearby towns did
little to exploit the land, understanding the importance of its preservation,
and it shows. Two hundred fifty-two miles of unpolluted canoeing.
