Trail Description:
Walk back in time along this universally accessible interpretive trail and cross the historic Round Lake Logging Dam. Close your eyes to imagine the loud cries of "T-I-M-B-E-R" from past logging activities. Feel the water's spray and rush of heavy logs and they pile through the timbered sluices, clamoring downriver on the spring log drives. A trail guide and system of numbered posts serve to guide you around the half mile trail and provide you with information about the logging era and Round Lake. An interpretive display adjacent to the trailhead's parking area provides additional insights into the fascinating history of the area.
