Trail Description:

The Perkinstown Winter Sports Area is famous for its all around outdoor fun including the tubing hill that is operated by Taylor County, who also maintains and grooms the 25.8 Km of trails located on National Forest lands.

he scenic trails flow over wooded rolling hills and offer beginner and intermediate skiers a well groomed system for both skating and classic skiing. Ski rental packages are available at the nearby chalet that is owned and operated by Taylor County. Cozy up to the fireplace or satisfy your hunger with hot foods and hot or cold beverages.

Trailhead Directions:

From the intersection of State Highways 13 and 64 in Medford, drive 16 miles west on Highway 64. Turn right (north) on Forest Road 119 and drive 4.1 miles. The parking lot for the west loops is on the left (west) side of the road. Continue north for 0.3 miles to reach the road for the Chalet.
