Trail Description:
This is a very popular mountain bike trail system. To make the bike trail more interesting and correct problems on the ski trail, the bike trail is being reconstructed in 2003 and 2004 to move it off the Rock Lake Ski Trail. The maps show the revised mountain bike trail system. Two bike trails originate at the Rock Lake Parking Lot Trailhead. The trails beginning at Rock Lake are predominately single track mountain bike trails. While the trails traverse steep, difficult terrain, they are designed to be rideable by bikers with itermediate ability. In many places one has the feeling of riding on the edge of a steep drop off. The bike trail gives a marvelous tour of the small lakes and scenic spots in the Rock Lake area. CAMBA has excellent detailed trail maps of the cluster. The maps include narratives of the trail route for people who cannot read maps. The excellent signing on the trails makes getting lost difficult.M
