Home of Miller Brewing Company, Harley, and six thousand bars (!), Milwaukee springs up defiantly out of the convergence of three rivers. Known for its rowdy summertime music festivals and scenic views of Lake Michigan, this modern Wisconsin town is diverse and developed as ever. To encourage tourist interest, Riverwalk was added in recent years. It is currently one of the more appealing scenes in the city, a stretch of shops and public events that is unrivaled anywhere else in town.

Milwaukee also has an interesting fluctuation of architecture, chronicling the quick inception of the town’s “image.” From old factories on the outskirts to the ultra modern (by comparison) skyscrapers downtown to the tasteful, upbeat riverfront district, this town has made itself a vital Wisconsin hub. Take an eccentric microbrewery tour or brave the Harley Davidson district if you’re into that sort of thing. Or catch a Brewers game and down a few pitchers on the banks of the river. The essence of Milwaukeean “culture” is debatable, but it’s still a good time.
