Wisconsin is justifiably famous for dairy products and the NFL’s
Green Bay Packers, but there’s more to the state than cows and
pigskins. The outdoor adventures visitors can have in Door County off
the rocky coasts of Lakes Superior and Michigan, which resemble the
shores of New England more than the Midwest, right down to the lighthouses.
The sea kayaking there in particular is a big draw, especially around
the Apostle Islands. Milwaukee is a great place to have a beer, check
out the Harley-Davison HQ and enjoy an exhibit on Frank Lloyd Wright
in the Milwaukee Art Museum.
