Expert instruction at Bluewood Ski Area
Bluewood Ski Area is located just 52 miles from Walla Walla in the Umatilla National Forest, high in the Blue Mountains of southeastern Washington. The Bluewood Ski Area has the 2nd highest base elevation in Washington State. Bluewood is best known for its clement weather and dry powder; the mountain receives an average snowfall of more than 300 inches every year. Though Bluewood provides some of the best Washington skiing conditions imaginable (unlimited powder, some of the best tree skiing in the Pacific Northwest, a wide variety of skiable terrains), it nevertheless boats short lift lines and relatively uncrowded slopes. This makes it the perfect location for a family ski vacation.

The helpful skiing experts at Bluewood Ski Area are available to anyone wanting to learn the ropes on the slopes. Bluewood’s trained professionals offer specialized instruction for all skill levels of skiing and snowboarding, including kid's programs, such as the Kids Club, Junior and Masters Racing, and several women's workshops.
