Olympic encapsulates three vastly different Washington-specific ecosystems into one expansive national site. On one end is the long Pacific coastline, adorned with docks, boats and various water recreations. Much higher in elevation, the glacial region is susceptible to winter-like conditions year round. Thirdly, the lush, heavy forest portion is thriving with distinct life and vegetation.

Regardless of your preference, or assuming you don’t really have one, this huge park can give you a unique look at what exists in the untainted natural world around you. It is a far cry from monotony and miles from drudging routine.

Visitors Centers pertaining to each offer education and interpretation of the area, in efforts to keep the public aware of the importance of undisturbed land. If you need assistance or guidance while visiting, a park ranger will gladly help you out.
