This is a highly publicized, highly commercialized area
that is growing by the day. One of the more expansive “touristy”
spots within Washington’s rugged layout, Lake Chelan offers a
myriad of attractions and events, in or out of the woods.
This is a place well oriented for families who want to be in touch with
nature and remain inherently safe. There are now horse drawn carriage
rides, winery tours, golf, water parks, bowling, go-karts and on and
on. Lake Chelan also offers some guided hikes in the lower and upper
portions along with assistance such as ferries and various rentals to
help you map and explore the deep gorges and sparkling lakes.
Overall, Chelan is an interesting community, perfect for those who want
to be in the midst of Washington wildlife, not part of it. |
