The peninsula’s largest town and primary entry
point for the vast Olympic National Park, Port Angeles is more of a
segue than a prime vacation spot. With the Strait of Juan de Fuca on
one side and thousands of glorious natural acres on the other, it is
quite easy to ignore.
But Port Angeles and the surrounding regions offer loads to do if the
crisp outdoors are important to your trip. There are tons of activities
to take part in, regardless of the season, from biking, golfing, hiking,
fishing, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding and more.
And if camping the park’s grounds isn’t for you, lodge in
Port Angeles at a bed and breakfast, a cabin, or a resort along the
water.
