Washington beaches are a bit more rugged than their southern counterparts, but that takes nothing away from their beauty or their opportunities for outdoor adventure. Alki Beach is right next to Seattle, the Long Beach Peninsula offers plenty of elbow room and Ocean Shores is packed with exciting outdoor adventure.

Alki Beach:
This urban beach is one of the best in Washington for scuba-diving.

Long Beach Peninsula:
There are 28 miles of continuous sand beaches on the Pacific side of this peninsula.

Ocean Shores:
This lovely stretch of beach is ideal for horse-back riding and clam digging.

Copalis Beach:
This sandy, wind-swept beach is among Washington’s most scenic.
