Trail Description:

Dragons Tooth is an interesting rock formation, with excellent views of many nearby and distant peaks. A rewarding climb. There are no facilities on this loop.

Hiking the Dragons Tooth Trail:

Cove Mountain, off SR 311, at Craig/Roanoke County line.

Ample parking. Trail ascends gradually and crosses creek before ascending across the lower slopes of Cove Mt.

Same as beginning, unless alternate route of return is taken � north on Applalachian Trail or Connector Trail (Boy Scout).

From I81, take Exit 141 onto SR 419 North to SR 311 North for 10 miles. Dragons tooth parking Lot is on the left just past Catawba Grocery.
