Texas Falls is a longtime favorite attraction in Vermont’s Green Mountain National Forest. If it looks familiar, it’s because postcards, hiking guides, and portraits of Vermont have included Texas Falls.
The U.S. Forest Service manages Texas Falls. For the safety of the visitors, wooden fencing surrounds the flume and falls, and the only views are from a boardwalk. The best view is from the bridge that crosses over the stream, where one can see 2 small plunges of equal beauty, with a deep green-blue pool between them as they flow through a narrow ravine.
The Vermont waterfalls are only part of the fun. Visitors will find picnic tables to sit at and have a nice lunch while enjoying nature.
