Devil’s Potholes is a Vermont waterfall that has something for everyone, from children and teens to adults and senior citizens. There are plenty of places for picnickers and sunbathers, pools for swimmers, and a stunning set of waterfalls as a backdrop for fun.
Devil’s Potholes are actually 3 sets of waterfalls. The 1st plunged into a small, round pool about 5 feet wide by 5 feet long. The 2nd falls into a circular pothole about 25 feet in diameter. The 3rd cascade drops into a river channel. Each pool is filled with the deep, emerald-green water one expects to find in Vermont swimming holes.
The beaches at the base of the falls are part sandy, part loose rocks; These are some of the coldest of all the swimming holes in New England, Devil's Potholes should be visited only during hot days.
