Though Thetmore doesn’t cover as much ground or provide as many
campsites for visitors, its boasts one of the better trail systems in
Vermont. Developed in the thirties by the Civilian Conservation Corps,
it has grown into a haven of exploration, regardless of the season.
The trails are up for hiking when it’s warm and excellent cross-country
skiing in the winter. Campsites provide just enough convenience to land
somewhere between rugged and comfortable. Many nearby attractions such
as the VINS Nature Center provide further insight into Vermont’s
varying wilderness. |
