Lake Carmi with its 1,375 acres of surface is the fourth largest natural lake is entirely in Vermont. Lake Carmi gives the best view of the mountain, not to be missed at all. The campground near the lake is the state's largest with 35 lean- to sites, 2 cabins and 140 tent/ trailer sites.

There are no dearth of beaches on Lake Carmi. There are swimming beaches on all camp areas. The day use beach is well known and well equipped and convenient. It has restrooms and concession area. People can rent boats here on this beach.
   
 
There are abundance of fishes in the water making it hot favorite destination for fishing. When on Lake Carmi you are close to all the fascinating outdoor activities right from boating, to camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, wildlife viewing, picnicking and swimming.

For wildlife enthusiasts Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge is the must visit this place. Visit Jay Peak Ski Area and Stowe Ski Area and enjoy skiing. Lake Carmi offers ample opportunities in the form of outdoor activities and water sports.
