Mountains and forests at Scofield Park
Scofield is located high in the Manti-LaSal Mountains of the Wasatch Plateau. It features a 2,800-acre lake that provides excellent boating opportunities and year-round Utah fishing. During winter months snowmobiling and cross-country skiing are popular activities in rugged and scenic mountains that surround the park.

There are 3 state-owned recreation facilities at Scofield State Park. Mountain View, 6 miles north of Scofield, is home to a 34-unit campground with rest rooms, hot showers, a boat launching ramp and much more. Madsen Bay, situated on the north end of the reservoir, is a perfect spot for groups and family reunions. Facilities include a 40-unit campground, fish cleaning and disposal stations, a boat ramp and ample parking. The Lakeside day-use area provides rest rooms, a group-use pavilion and a fishing platform that is accessible to the park’s disabled visitors.
