Wasatch-Cache National Forest

Utah Home | Utah Sitemap
This watershed is supremely important to nearby Salt Lake City, providing citizens with sixty percent of the water they consume. Wasatch-Cache was established to protect the outlying portions, keeping them safe from expansion and commercialism.

About one million acres are under the visage of the National Forest System, stretching up and through the western United States. Much of the land is restricted to travel on foot, in order to shield the delicate ecosystems therein. The land ranges from thick, mountainous regions to flat, low-lying river basins, both flourishing with native wildlife.

Recreation here is almost too expansive to list; Wasatch-Cache is one of the largest and most diverse National Forests in existence. The border has recently been split between Idaho and Utah, but technically, the protected land has no real borders.

For endless opportunities and scenes uniquely Utahan, brave Wasatch-Cache on your next westward adventure.
