Amidst the domineering Colorado River,
Canyonlands is one of Utah’s most undisturbed national parks.
The land encapsulated by the park holds a slew of different environs,
including sandy, barren desert terrain, lively pools, stiff-flowing
rivers, and angular rock formations. The variant landscape provides
a home for a vast number of creatures and their subsequent ecologies.
The labyrinth of ravines that now exist in Canyonlands provide
an excellent guideline for traversing the park. Four wheel drive
paths and hiker-only routes offer adventurers different levels
of difficulty. The most conspicuous of sites include The Maze,
Islands in the Sky, Horseshoe Canyon, Cataract Canyon, and The
Needles.
The land here is truly diverse, so expect to be surprised from
one stretch to the next. There are two campsites within the grounds
to make sure you take it all in.
