Arches National Park
This site exists in “high desert,” a rare climate which varies drastically from season to season, and even within twenty four hour spans. The temperature range can shift up to fifty degrees in one day. But this is not the most staggering feature of the surrounding land; that distinction belongs to the floating rocks and dramatic arches, approximately one thousand, which carve up the Utah landscape.

Delicate Arch, Double Arch, The Windows and The Courthouse Towers are some of the main attractions in this awe-inspiring site. Time has done a number on the earth here, sculpting out ascending fins which eventually eroded into smooth semicircles, bending overhead. Hiking amidst the monoliths and towers can conjure up imaginative explanations of the park’s origins.

The mystery of the variant rock formations is not unrivaled by their distinct beauty. Adventurers gather at curvaceous natural theatres to view sunsets over the La Sal Mountains or slip through Devil’s Garden amidst bright red sandstone.

Regardless of the paths you choose or the means you choose to roam the park, you will most likely be spellbound. Take some extra time and backpack through the rocky terrain for a challenging, overwhelming journey.
