Utah’s Pine Valley Mountains are
located in the southwestern corner of the state. The Pine Valley Recreation
Area to the west of the range is the main access point (there is a modest
entrance fee per car), and provides a number of Utah campgrounds, a
reservoir and picnicking area.
The small but impressive Pine Valley Mountains cover 120 square miles
and rise 10,365 feet up from the Utah deserts. These beautiful Utah
mountains are covered in thick forests of pine and aspen.
There’s plenty to keep visitors occupied in the Pine Valley Mountains.
Climbing the rocky route to the top of Signal Peak (the highest point
in the range) is a popular activity. The Pine Valley Mountains feature
an excellent network of more than 60 miles of well marked and maintained
hiking and horseback riding trails. There are also numerous campgrounds
for overnight stays and fishing opportunities to keep the anglers happy.
