Utah is rugged and wild, full of rapids and mountains and red-rock canyons. Rafting, hiking and mountain biking are favorite activities in Utah’s wild places, as is camping and climbing. Visitors to Utah will have ample opportunity to explore the region’s Native American history via the petroglyphs and ruins that dot the state. Salt Lake City is an interesting place to spend some time, not least because of the interplay between the omnipresent Mormon Church and a vibrant youth culture.
