The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is located in Houston, Texas. It is among the finest of Houston museums, and is the largest encyclopedic museum in the Lone Star State, with a massive collection that is housed in 2 buildings. These additional structures also include a library and archive.
There are 2 decorative arts centers (namely the Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, which houses one of the nation's best collections of American decorative art and furniture, and Rienzi, a collection of European decorative arts) that make their home in this most culturally impressive of Houston attractions. The Museum operates the Alfred C. Glassell School of Art to encourage local art and artists. Additionally (as if all that weren’t enough) the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston also features a beautiful sculpture garden. |
