The Doe River on Roan Mountain

The Doe River originates on Roan Mountain. This small Tennessee river is cool enough to be a year-round home to 3 species of trout: Native brook trout, Rainbow trout and Brown trout. These game fish species are stocked by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. A Tennessee fishing license is required to fish in the Doe River.
