Tims Ford Lake is a 10,700-acre reservoir
in Tennessee. It is considered one of the most scenic of Tennessee lakes,
and is also known as one of the best bass fishing and recreational lakes
in the region. Canoeists, kayakers, and anglers all enjoy Tims Ford’s
sprawling waters.
Tims Ford Lake has excellent Tennessee fishing all year long. Common
game fish species caught in the lake include bluegill, smallmouth bass,
largemouth bass, catfish and crappie.
There’s a boat launching ramp and dock at the Lakeview Marina,
which is a leased operation located at Tims Ford State Park. The Marina
can supplies equipment and supplies for both boating and fishing, and
also features a snack bar, a bait shop and fish-cleaning area.
As well as power generation and outdoor recreation, Tims Ford Reservoir
provide water supply and offers flood protection downstream on the Elk
River, primarily for the town of Fayetteville, Tennessee.
