Trail Description:
This trail begins from Licklog Ridge Trail (Trail # 65). It leads south of the summit of Big Frog Mountain and goes southeast to Double Spring Gap, where it continues into Georgia. This trail is both a hiking trail and a horse trail.
Hiking the
Hemp Top FS Trail No. 145:
This trail travels the border between the Big Frog and Cohutta Wilderness areas. Please observe wilderness rules when visiting this area. Sight Information: Trail Number 145. This trail follows the Big Frog/ Cohutta Wilderness boundary. Site Amenities: Parking area. A bulletin board offers trail information. Safety: Consider wearing hunter orange during hunting season. Requirements: Horse and foot travel only.

Travel Information
Trailhead Directions: From the Ocoee Ranger Station turn left onto Highway 64. Travel about 10.9 miles to Ocoee Power House Number 3. Cross the bridge and follow Forest Service Road 45 about 2.9 miles to the intersection of Forest Service Road 221. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 221 and travel approximately 2.2 miles to the Licklog Ridge Trailhead on the right. Hemp Top Trail will lead south.
