Pickwick Landing is one of the most visited parks in Tennessee and is located close to the border of Mississippi and Alabama near to the Pickwick Dam. Pickwick Lake is located in three states. In Tennessee there is about two miles of swimming beaches.

With three assigned public swimming beaches, you have Circle Beach and Sandy Beach located in the park's day-use area. The third beach is located across the lake at Bruton Branch primitive area. Swimming is not supervised at the beaches. Restrooms are available.
   
 
Pickwick Landing has a playground located near the picnic area along with some sports equipment. You also have six pavilions in the day use area with tables, grills, and nearby bathroom facilities. Additionally you have five shelters nearby on the park and about 100+ tables located throughout the park.

Besides the river water-front fun you also get to enjoy the Island Loop Trail that runs almost 3-miles through beautiful hardwood forest along the river. Its very relaxing and the trail offers glimpses of wildlife and natural scenery.

Pickwick Lake is famous for smallmouth bass and Tennessee River Catfish. You also have crappie, bluegill, white bass, stripes and sauger. Boat rentals, fishing piers, bank fishing and local guides are available. Valid TN Fishing license required.

All types of boating are allowed at Pickwick Landing. There are two public boat ramps in the park, each of which is available free of charge. During summer pool, boats of up to 60 feet can be launched. The marina here has 191 slips for dry boat storage, 46 sailboat slips, and 35 transient slips. The marina is open year round.
