Located in central Alabama at the southern edge of Appalachians, the Talladega National Forest covers an area of 392,567 acres across eleven counties in Alabama. Extensive pine forest re-growth at the Talladega Forest hosts a diverse eco-system. Headquartered in Montgomery, this National Forest is separated into 2 areas & divided into 3 ranger districts as – The Shoal Creek & Talladega District in the northeastern part of state & the Oakmulgee District in the central part.
