Located in downtown Big Spring Park is a unique place close to the large lake, fed by the spring. This Park is part of the Indian Creek Canal and the site of many outdoor activities including concerts and holiday events. As the centerpiece of the park it is surrounded by grassy lawns, gazebos, benches, Japanese-style bridge and the Museum of Art. The limestone spring and lagoon have ducks and fishes in them. The park is notable as the venue for the Panoply Arts Festival held in April and the Big Spring Jam annual music festival. Big Spring Park is named after a large underground karst spring referred to by the native Indians as The Big Spring.
