The Park, a creation of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bellingrath was opened for the public in 1932. 65 acres of the Garden Estate are in full bloom all through the year. Take a tour of Bellingrath “English Renaissance” Home built in 1935. It is replete with original furnishings and extensive collection of decorative arts. Self-guided walking tours get you admiring the acclaimed Rose Garden, Bayou Boardwalk, Mirror Lake, Great Lawn, Asian-American Gardens and Butterfly Garden as also formal garden terraces. Enjoy a 45-minute cruise along the Fowl River to learn about birding habits, ecology, and local civil war history. Southern Belle departs daily from Bellingrath Gardens and Home between March and November.
