Rhode Island's four-season climate is milder than the
rest of New England. Summers are extremely warm but not oppressive.
Winters will freeze the ponds, but seldom go below the teens. There
will usually be 6 or 7 snowfalls of approximately 7 inches. Normally
NW Rhode Island has colder winters and hotter summers than the rest
of the state. The coastal portions of Rhode Island are generally more
moderate.
