This offshore refuge is a haven for
migratory birds. Made up almost entirely of dunes and beaches,
birders will delight in the sites pristine beauty.
Fall is the most opportune time to make the trek. Many songbirds
make a short stopover here before continuing their migration south.
No established trails exist here, but the sandy beaches are accessible
and the island is small enough to take in regardless. Although
small, this island sees its share of diverse plants and animals
in any season. |
