This huge state park in the extreme northeastern portion of the state
has just about every recreational opportunity you can think of, encapsulating
20,000 acres and one of the biggest reservoirs in the state.
Although the lake takes up much of the space and affords visitors with
a lot of opportunities, the land is no slouch either. Here, seven miles
of simple trails weave through otherwise rugged terrain. It is a good
opportunity to take in the nearby swamps or the huge pines that stretch
heavenward.
You can choose to stay in primitive campsites, cabins, or plan a huge
escape in one of the group camping regions with room for up to 400.
