Located in the northeast portion of Pennsylvania, this river is easily accessible to several water-specific activities, providing the weather is not too dry. The levels here tend to fluctuate a lot, so during long dry spells, canoeing may not be a good idea.

The rapids range from mild to choppy. This is a good river for beginners and casual boaters to learn the ropes of river riding.

Along the way, there are two campgrounds and several take outs and put ins. Be sure to map out your trip, perhaps with local assistance, before you venture out. And check the levels to prevent anyone from running aground.
