Catching air at Timberline Ski Area
The Timberline Ski Area offers year-round skiing and snowboarding in some of the most beautiful skiing conditions in Oregon. There are 6 chairlifts that serve the area during the winter taking skiers to 8,540 feet of elevation for summer glacier skiing. The terrain here is varied; most of it perfectly suited to intermediate level skiers, but high on the Palmer Snowfield, Timberline offers challenging runs for more advanced skiers. With 1,430 acres of skiable terrain (the most vertical feet in the entire northwest), Timberline offers a multitude of trails for all ability levels.

Timberline Lodge is located at the 6,000-feet on Mt. Hood (the highest point in Oregon), just 55 miles east of Portland International Airport. It is one of the most famous ski lodges in the United States, with early 2 million visitors coming to annually to enjoy the incredible Oregon skiing.

Timberline has become well known for its excellent summer skiing opportunities. Several ski camps make Timberline their base of summer operations.
