Anthony Lakes Ski Area is located on the Anthony Lake Highway in North Powder, Oregon. It is one of the premiere Oregon skiing destinations, and caters to the serious and skilled skier, though there are plenty of great opportunities for novice and intermediate skiers here as well.
The Anthony Lakes Ski Area boasts 21 runs on 1,100 acres of skiable terrain, with almost half of that area catering to expert-level downhill skiers. The longest run is 1.5 miles. At 7,100 feet, Anthony Lakes Ski Area has the highest base elevation of any of the Oregon mountains, with a top elevation of 8,000 feet and a vertical run of 900. It receives and impressive 300 inches of snow every year.
Nordic skiers are bound to be pleased with the 40 kilometers of groomed track set trails they find here. This is a great place for experienced cross-country fanatics to challenge themselves, as 60% of the trails here are rated for experts.
