Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park is a park located on the west bank of the Willamette River in downtown Portland, Oregon.
This Portland, Oregon attraction is currently home to a number of festivals and concerts, including many Rose Festival events.
This paragon of Portland parks has many different memorials with its boundaries. The Battleship Oregon Memorial is located in Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park, and honors this "Bulldog of the US Navy" and its many naval battles. Underneath the memorial lies a time capsule sealed on Independence Day, 1976, to be unearthed on July 5, 2076. The Founders' Stone memorial honors William Pettygrove and Asa Lovejoy.
The Police Memorial is dedicated to Portland Police who have laid down their lives in the line of duty. Salmon Street Springs fountain is extremely popular in the summer; it and recycles up to 4,924 gallons of water per minute through 137 jets.
