Garden in Portland’s Grant Park
Grant Park in Portland, Oregon is a pleasant example of Portland parks. It is a neighborhood park located in the Northeast section of the city. The park was named in honor of President and former Union General Ulysses S. Grant, after the parklands were acquired by the city in 1922. Grant Park is bordered by Rose City Park

Many of the houses in the scenic Grant Park neighborhood were the 1920’s, and are fine examples of the Old Portland or Craftsman styles. The Grant Park neighborhood is best known as the setting for children and young adult author Beverly Cleary 's Klickitat Street series of books.

The Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden for Children was dedicated in the park on October 13, 1995. This garden includes life-sized renditions of 3 of Cleary’s most beloved characters, namely Ramona "the Pest" Quimby, Henry Huggins, and Ribsy the dog, all by sculptor Lee Hunt.
