Still water runs deep at Crescent Lake.
Crescent Lake is a large natural body of water on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Range, and is located 70 miles southwest of Bend, Oregon. The nearby Crescent Dam (located at the outlet of Crescent Lake) is part of the Crescent Lake Project. This mirror-like 4,000-acre lake provides angers with excellent opportunities to catch game fish species like kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, brown trout, and mountain whitefish. The Oregon fishing season for Crescent Lake runs lasts from late April through to October.

Other recreational activities visitors can enjoy on Crescent Lake include boating, camping, jet skiing, picnicking and swimming. In the winter there are numerous opportunities for snow-based activities. Local amenities include hotels, motels and plenty of places to shop for groceries and other supplies.
