Crescent Lake is a large natural body of
water on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Range, and is located 70
miles southwest of Bend, Oregon. The nearby Crescent Dam (located at
the outlet of Crescent Lake) is part of the Crescent Lake Project. This
mirror-like 4,000-acre lake provides angers with excellent opportunities
to catch game fish species like kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, brown
trout, and mountain whitefish. The Oregon fishing season for Crescent
Lake runs lasts from late April through to October.
Other recreational activities visitors can enjoy on Crescent Lake include
boating, camping, jet skiing, picnicking and swimming. In the winter
there are numerous opportunities for snow-based activities. Local amenities
include hotels, motels and plenty of places to shop for groceries and
other supplies.
