Gold Beach is located on the Southern Coast
of Oregon. Despite its stunning natural beauty the area doesn’t
draw as many visitors as some other Oregon beaches, so guests don’t
have to fight crowds or traffic to enjoy themselves there. What Gold
Beach lacks in shopping malls and amusement parks it makes up for in
outdoor adventure in a pristine Pacific Coast wilderness.
The scenery at Gold Beach can’t be beat. The windy bluffs, piney
forests and teaming tide-pools are endlessly fascinating for nature
buffs, and the peace and quiet is a welcome change of pace from some
other Oregon vacation destinations.
Gold Beach is also a great place to enjoy outdoor activities like whitewater
jet boating, kayaking or windsurfing, and with the proper permits visitors
can go mountain hiking or biking in the surrounding wilderness. Anglers
will be pleased to know that the Rogue River empties into the Pacific
at Gold Beach, so a short trip inland equals excellent Oregon fishing
opportunities.
