Tenkiller State Park, home of beautiful Lake Tenkiller, is one
of the best places in the state for outdoor recreation. With towering
limestone cliffs, clear blue water and countless opportunities
for water sports, including diving at the lake’s scuba park,
mean this is easily among the best Oklahoma State Parks. The Oklahoma
fishing is great thanks to big populations of largemouth bass,
crappie, sunfish, channel catfish.
Plenty of other recreational opportunities can be found at Tenkiller
State Park besides water sports, including scenic hiking. There
are facilities for volleyball and basketball, shuffleboard and
horseshoes, playgrounds for the little ones, a community center,
picnic shelters, beaches, and a nature center.
Tenkiller is a great place to spend a night or two, with lodging
amenities that include cabins, RV hookups and tent campsites.
The park's other hotspots are the fully stocked Pine Cove Marina,
the floating Clearwater Café and nearby Greenleaf State
Park.
