Robbers Cave State Park in Oklahoma is as beautiful as it is
chock full of outdoor adventure. This rugged yet scenic State
Park is located amidst the hilly woodlands of the San Bois Mountains
of southeast Oklahoma. The park serves as a natural playground
for rappelling and climbing enthusiasts, horseback riders, hikers
and countless other outdoor lovers. Robbers Cave itself is famous
and infamous as a former hideout for Wild West outlaws.
Robbers Cave State Park and the nearby Oklahoma wildlife management
area feature seasonal trout fishing, boating, hunting, trails
for Oklahoma hiking and horseback riding enthusiasts, and towering
sandstone cliffs for climbing and rappelling. RV and tent campsites,
and equestrian campsites are also available. Lodging facilities
include the Belle Starr View Lodge, cabins and two group camps.
Other facilities and amenities include picnic tables, comfort
stations with showers, boat ramps, a swimming beach, swimming
pool with bathhouse, playgrounds, miniature golf, hiking trails,
paddleboat rentals, and a nature center.
