Situated in the oak-strewn countryside
of the beautiful Green County Area, Tulsa is home to some great
spots for family fun. The Tulsa Zoo & Living Museum was voted
America’s Favorite Zoo, and Discovery Land! Park is the
official home of Rogers & Hammerstein’s musical “Okalahoma”
as well as the troupe of Native American dancers and the Oklahoma
Cattleman’s Association Ranch Dinner. There are a number
of fine museums and Tulsa’s famed Art Deco architecture
is evident throughout much of the city. When it’s time to
eat, Brookside is the neighborhood where hungry visitors can find
Tulsa’s best restaurants.
The Tulsa International Airport is northeast
of down town. Tulsa Transit Metro buses run limited routes.
There are a few old-fashioned inns in the
Tulsa area, like the Victorian Inn, but motel and hotel chains are numerous.
Tulsa is the home of Oral Roberts University.
