Both South and Middle Bass Islands are capable of giving
you vast diversity of events and attractions for your upcoming adventure.
Oak Point State Park offers a good amount of protected wildlife for
those who want to see the small dots of land from an outlying perspective.
Kayaking around this region can give you a sense of how the shores looked,
uninhibited.
South Bass is largely overrun with tourism and has become a popular
weekend party town unto itself. Its busy ports see about a million visitors
ever year, and rightly so: it has matured into a beautiful resort town,
surrounded by natural attractions.
Middle Bass is the little brother, more solace and calm than the bustling
hub to the south. Both islands have sufficient camping, lodging and
all the fresh fried perch you can eat. |
