Three Creeks Park in Columbus, Ohio is named after its location as the confluence of Alum Creek, Big Walnut Creek and Blacklick Creek. It is a 1,050-acre park operated jointly by a Columbus Metro Parks and Columbus Recreation and Parks.
Three Creeks is made up of 5 distinct areas that are connected to one another through the Alum Creek Greenways Trail. This most creek-centric of Ohio Parks is the major hub in the Franklin County Greenways program, an interconnected system of trails along the 7 major streams in Central Ohio. The park provides nearly 15 miles of trails running parallel to the stream corridors of these streams. They make their way through forests, fields, prairies and wetlands, providing scenic outdoor adventure opportunities for hikers, bikers and joggers.
Three Creeks is a great place of bird watching in Ohio. More than 100 species of birds may be seen here, including owls and great blue herons. Ohio wildlife that make their home here include beaver, mink, coyote and deer.
