Old Man's Cave Waterfalls

Ohio Home | Ohio Sitemap
Old Man's Cave is the most popular waterfall in Ohio’s Hocking Hills Region. This Ohio waterfall drops off the cliff and plummets over a Black Hand sandstone shelf 40 or 50 feet below, slides on over the shelf and plunges again for 10 or 12 feet against some more Black Hand before finally cascading down into the dark pool at the bottom of the gorge.

The well-maintained trail to the bottom of the gorge crosses a very   interesting footbridge that has been the subject of many photographs. Brochures can be found at the Old Man's Cave Visitors' Center.
