Fairport Harbor adjacent to the Fairport Harbor lighthouse and the mouth of the Grand River, has a nice playground area next to the sand. In addition to countless opportunities to indulge in a strenuous sporting life, Fairport Harbor's 800-yard-long beach offers quiet places to spot eagles, herons and gulls. |

The beach has recruited lifeguards, whenever it is open, and amenities in the beach area include restrooms, changing rooms, shower facilities and drinking fountains. Not only swimming. The Fairport Lakefront beach can also be enjoyed in many other ways. You can rent sitting-on-top ocean Kayaks for adventurous older kids, who are under fifteen years of age, and are accompanied by an adult. The beach has drier play options, such as several volleyball courts and playgrounds. A food concession is open daily during beach season, and visitors can also make use of grills, picnic areas and a pavilion, where the pavilion is not reservable. The beach also provides a Surf Chair (an all-terrain wheelchair), which can be used by visitors with physical disabilities. A small amount of parking fee is applied to the Lake County residents. Seasonal parking is also available. The park can be accessed free of charge by walk-in patrons who park elsewhere. |
